Archdale man arrested after failing a traffic stop, hit multiple cars

On May 3, a Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Deputy initiated a traffic stop on S. Main Street in Archdale. The driver, later identified as Evan Dale Parrish, continued traveling on S. Main Street and a pursuit ensued. Upon approach to the intersection of N. Main St. and NC Highway 62, Parrish attempted to make a left turn onto Trindale Road, losing control of his vehicle causing him to collide with several vehicles in the Southbound lanes of travel. Once Parrish regained control of his vehicle he continued to travel north on Main Street towards High Point. While in motion, the driver s door of the passenger car opened, Parrish exited the vehicle and fled on foot. After a brief foot pursuit, Parrish was taken into custody.

Highway 47, was charged with two counts of trafficking methamphetamine; felony possession with the intent to manufacture, sell or deliver methamphetamine, felony maintaining a vehicle/dwelling for the sell or delivery of a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

One dead, two injured in Plummer Street shooting

Robert Lewis Spencer, 27 years of age, was pronounced dead at the scene. The two other subjects were transported to nearby trauma hospitals. On April 4, 2021, Jessie Jaquan Pratt, who was shot during the incident on Plummer Street, was released from the hospital and taken into custody. According to the Randolph County Sheriff Office, further investigation of the shooting resulted in Pratt’s arrest for Felony First Degree Murder. He is confined at the Randolph County Detention Center without bond.  His first appearance in Randolph County District Court is scheduled for Monday, April 5, 2021
