Rangeley’s Annual Town Meeting will be at the Rangeley Town Office on Tuesday, June 8, 2021. Voting by written ballot will take place between 8:00am and 8:00pm. A copy of the Annual Town report is currently available at the Town Office and should prove helpful for informed voting.
This year’s Annual Town Report is dedicated to Alice (Quimby) Smith. Alice was in attendance at the May 17, 2021 Board of Selectmen’s meeting. A Selectmen signed copy of the 2020 Town Report was presented to her in addition to the sincere “Thank You’s” for her many years of dedicated civil service to the Town of Rangeley.

FARMINGTON Franklin County commissioners Tuesday set the 2021-22 budget review for April 20. Commissioners also voted to approve repairing a sewer line with a patch at the Sheriff’s Office.
The proposed budget is still being put together.
A formal invitation will be sent to the Budget Advisory Committee to attend commissioners’ review of the budget either in person, through a Zoom program or it can be watched on Mt. Blue Community Access TV, which is livestreamed.

Each session the Maine legislature allows all senators and representatives to submit bills for consideration. It is an opportunity for our representatives to advocate for the needs of their constituents, to move economic policy for their region, influence tax policy, promote education and health care.
This session the deadline for submitting bills was Dec 18. It was with great interest that I looked forward to the release of the bill titles our legislators have submitted in representing the needs of the people of Franklin County. The list of titles is below. The wording of the bills has not yet been printed.
