THOSE wishing to obtain their birth registration number (BRN) to register for COVID-19 registration can do so free of charge at the Births, Deaths and Marriages Registry or any hospital in the country.
Responding to queries from church leaders on difficulties people would face to pay $16 in order to obtain their BRN from birth certificates, Fiji’s Vaccine Taskforce head, Dr Rachael Devi, said people did not have to purchase a new certificate.
Dr Devi said people could register either through their BRN or a photo Identification Card.
She explained that foreign students studying in Fiji could be registered through their passport numbers, clarifying that the ministry was still working on a way to register them for vaccination.
