The streets of Revelstoke, an alpine adventure hub tucked between mountains in southeastern B.C., are a lot quieter than normal these days, say locals.
Many people who reside in Revy, as it is colloquially known, are keeping some extra distance between themselves when out in public, and seem to mostly be respecting public health guidelines about bubbles and masks, according to community leaders like Mayor Gary Sulz. But people are frustrated.

On Tuesday, Interior Health issued a warning of increased COVID-19 activity in the Revelstoke region after 29 new cases were confirmed in the area in the last two weeks, and contract tracers had not found their source. That came on the heels of a November cluster of 50 cases.
