Realme has launched the Realme 8 5G smartphone in Thailand ahead of the scheduled launch in India on April 22. Realme is using a MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset to power the 5G variant of Realme 8. The smartphone comes with a 48MP teat camera is expected to be priced competitively in India.
MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G is the latest 5G-enabled chipset. It is a 7nm SoC that combines two Arm Cortex-A76 ‘Big’ cores in its octa-core CPU operating up to a speed of 2.2GHz and 5G-CA (2CC). The new 5G chipset comes with connectivity features like 5G carrier aggregation (2CC 5G-CA) and dual 5G SIM along with the 5G-exclusive voice-over new radio (VoNR) services.
