Police are investigating after a victim and a dog were shot during a drive-by Monday evening in Midwest City.
Around 6:15 p.m., the victim and their dog were walking in the 1100 block of Big Oak Drive, near Midwest Boulevard and Reno Avenue, when somebody in a vehicle opened fire, according to police.Sign up for our Newsletters
The victim was shot in the hand and suffered injuries that are not considered to be life-threatening. Authorities said the dog is not going to make it.

They said North Rockwell Avenue between Northwest 10th Street and Reno Avenue is closed, adding that Rockwell Avenue is likely to be closed through midnight.According to police,
First responders said a person has died after being hit by a train Tuesday in Oklahoma City.
The victim was hit at North Council Road and Melrose Lane, authorities said.
Emergency crews responded shortly after 7:30 p.m. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said North Rockwell between Northwest 10th Street and Reno Avenue is currently closed.
