Organization gives back to Orange Grove senior citizens Senior citizens in Orange Grove are ecstatic about the looming construction of a new senior center set for later this year. and last updated 2021-04-09 20:31:23-04 ORANGE GROVE, Texas — Orange Grove is a tight knit community; the senior citizens are even closer. According to the city administrator, there are about 300 senior citizens in Orange Grove. The organization Pebble with Ripples is making a new senior center possible thanks to donations, Peter Crisp with the organization said this all started with an idea. One person had an idea, it took that one person to start talking to people and as this project grew, so did the love of the community, he said. So many businesses and organizations came together to make this possible.

Alice Echo News Journal The year 2021 in Jim Wells County and Duval County started with the swearing in of elected officials.  On Friday, Jan. 1 2021, elected officials raised their right hand and swore to uphold the law and represent the county and its citizens. For Duval County, the elected officials who took their oath are: Commissioner Precinct 1 Pete Guerra, Constable Precinct 2 Tammy H. Trejo, County Tax Collector Roberto Elizondo, 229th District Attorney Gocha Ramirez, County Attorney Baldemar Gutierrez, Sheriff Romeo Ramirez, Commissioner Precinct 3 David Garza, Constable Precinct 1 Bruno Valdez, Constable Precinct 3 Raul Oliveira III and Constable Precinct 4 Arturo Martinez.
