Reborn Ralliart to be headlined by performance Triton?

Mitsubishi has confirmed its Ralliart performance sub-brand will be returning, and there’s a good chance it will be headlined by a performance Triton ute. The announcement came as part of Mitsubishi’s 2020 end of financial year report, accompanied by a render of a Triton with red mudflaps, grille highlights and extra decals. It’s unclear if it will arrive as part of the current generation or the next-gen model due to debut next year. It has previously been reported that Mitsubishi is taking control of ute development for the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance, so a Ralliart Triton serving as a demonstration of what it can really do would make sense.

New Mercedes Concept EQT previews upcoming electric van

This is the new Mercedes Concept EQT. It’s a preview of the brand’s forthcoming compact electric leisure van, which will be revealed next year as an all-electric member of the new T-Class range.  Mercedes says the Concept EQT is a close representation of the eventual production model, with a design that introduces a “premium” element which the brand thinks is missing from the leisure activity vehicle segment. It’ll share most of its styling and underpinnings with the upcoming T-Class MPV, which is due to go on sale next year, powered by a range of petrol and diesel engines. Both vans will be based on a platform borrowed from the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance, meaning both should have the same dimensions.

New Renault Megane E-Tech Electric teased ahead of 2022 launch

6 May 2021 Renault has released new teaser images of the Mégane E-Tech Electric, the firm’s first dedicated electric SUV, which is set to go on sale next year. The French manufacturer revealed the boldly styled machine in concept form last year, with company boss Luca de Meo promising it was “95% what the production car will look like”. The concept was called the Mégane eVision, but a new release from Renault shows that it will take the E-Tech Electric name, using the sub-brand that encompasses all of the firm s electrified cars. The three teaser images include a close-up shot of the car s rear, showcasing Renault s new retro-styled logo. The other two interior shots focus on showing the large, vertically mounted central touchscreen, along with the digital information display.
