New 2022 Nissan X-Trail brings unique ePower tech

19 April 2021 The next-generation Nissan X-Trail will be offered with the firm s innovative new ePower powertrain technology when it arrives in Europe in summer 2022. Shown in full for the first time at Shanghai, the brand s largest SUV once again shares the bulk of its exterior and interior design with the US-market Rogue, which it has followed onto a heavily updated version of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance s CMF-C crossover platform - as used by the Qashqai. The ePower system differs from a conventional hybrid powertrain in that a petrol engine features but is used exclusively to charge a battery, which in turn powers an electric motor connected to the front axle.

2022 Mitsubishi Airtrek teased – nameplate returns on Chinese-market electric SUV, launching end-year

2022 Mitsubishi Airtrek teased – nameplate returns on Chinese-market electric SUV, launching end-year 19 April 2021 3:30 pm / 1 comment The Mitsubishi Airtrek name has quite a bit of goodwill attached to it, mostly thanks to the Evolution-engined Turbo-R. Now, the moniker is making a return on an electric SUV, teased at the ongoing Auto Shanghai ahead of its on-sale date at the end of the year. Set to be built by GAC, the new Airtrek is billed as an “e-cruising SUV” based on three keywords – electric, expanding (which seems to be a key theme for Mitsubishi vehicles these days) and expressive. The company says the car gives off “an image of advanced sophistication” fit for an EV while incorporating the diamond brand’s consistent design identity.

See Kia EV6 And Hyundai Ioniq 5 Driving In South Korea Apr 18, 2021 1m ago ++ They both stand out from regular traffic. Here we can see an interesting video from South Korea that shows the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6 seen in regular traffic (separately, but from a similar perspective). We must admit that both of those cars - built on the same E-GMP platform - look really extraordinary and pretty cool, among normal cars (the white Ioniq 5 looks stellar). The style of the Ioniq 5 and EV6 is completely different, so each should attract different customers. The Ioniq 5 specifically looks very futuristic.
