Used vehicle batteries stolen from Vale garage

Feb 16, 2021 THIEVES who stole 20 used car and truck batteries from a garage in Vale over the weekend are unlikely to get much payback for their efforts. Subscribe to our daily newsletter! Carrus director Jeremy Marquis said the batteries were being kept outside the premises prior to being put into a large container for collection and recycling. ‘They have a scrap value, depending on the weight,’ he said. ‘Some of them were quite heavy but they would average about £3 a unit.’
