Police have recovered the body of a three-year-old from a house in Roumari upazila of Kurigram last night, hours after he went missing.
The deceased was identified as Hossain Safi, son of Zahidul Islam in Jhagrachar village of the upazila, said police and locals.
A 15-year-old boy was detained last night over the incident and taken into police custody for interrogation, said Montaser Billah, officer-in-charge (OC) of Roumari Police Station today.
The body was found in a sack at the house of Azizul Haque, a neighbour of the victim, in Jhagrachar area around 11pm, based on information given by the detainee, said the OC.

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) detained an alleged Indian cattle smuggler from Bangladeshi territory on Dantbhanga border in Roumari upazila of Kurigram today.
The detainee is Nuruzzaman Ahmed, 25, son of Surut Ali at Kanaimara village under Hatsingimari police station in Dhubri district of India, our Lalmonirhat correspondent reports, quoting a BGB official.
The Indian youth was detained from Jhaggar Char area near pillar no- 1057 this noon on charges of illegal entrance, said Lt Col SM Azad, commander of 35 BGB Battalion.
Commander Lt Colonel SM Azad said when the Indian national entered into Bangladesh illegally through Dantbhanga border at noon, the patrolling BGB members of Dantbhanga BGB camp in Roumari upazila detained him.
