The incident, described by police as a “particularly nasty attack”, took place on Margaret Road, near to Auchinraith Avenue, Whitehill, around 11pm on Saturday January 9.

The father and son were attacked outside shops on Margaret Road in Hamilton A FATHER and son were rushed to hospital after being pounced on by a gang of brutes in a particularly nasty attack . The 41-year-old man remains in Wishaw General in a serious but stable condition following the assault in Hamilton yesterday. The pair were attacked by a group of six people outside shops on Margaret Road at around 11pm with the father suffering serious head and body injuries . His son, 19, received treatment for a facial injury and has since been discharged. Detectives probing the incident have called it a particularly nasty attack and say they are still trying to determine the motive.
