Jack Hill and his late wife Ruth Ann recently created a scholarship endowment of $25,000, which will be called the Jack and Ruth Ann Hill Scholarship.
The family of Jack and Ruth Ann Hill signed an agreement recently with the Ogeechee Technical College Foundation to create the “Jack and Ruth Ann Hill Scholarship” fund. The self-perpetuating scholarship endowment of $25,000 will be used to assist OTC students.

STATESBORO, Ga. (WTOC) - A new building in the works for the Georgia Southern - Statesboro campus will bear the name of a beloved Tattnall County couple.
Georgia Southern’s president said the new convocation center planned in the South Campus will embody the vision Senator Jack and Ruth Ann Hill had for “their” university.
The center will replace Hanner Fieldhouse, built in the 1960′s but can now hold only a fraction of the student body. It would house anything from basketball games to concerts to phys ed and kinesiology classes.

With University System of Georgia approval Tuesday, Georgia Southern University’s planned convocation center in Statesboro will be named in honor of the late Senator Jack Hill and his wife of 46 years, Ruth Ann Hill. Both are Georgia Southern graduates.
The Jack and Ruth Ann Hill Convocation Center will be the signature building on Georgia Southern’s south campus. It will be located on university-owned land on the southwest side of the intersection of Lanier Drive and Veterans Memorial Parkway (US 301 bypass).
