Prince William is a special county, and on June 5th, our “Spring is for Hope” event is celebrating places and people that make our home what it is. Local artists will dazzle us with their talents and community leaders will share stories of places worth protecting from east to west.
Meet the people who are working to protect the resources that are the foundation of our community while enjoying music, good company, and more.
Dr. Angela Knight, International Coloratura Soprano, will perform excerpts from Queen of the People’s Heart, a musical about Princess Diana.

Ruth Anderson helped bring women into the federal government. She died at 93.

For as long as her granddaughters can remember, Ruth Anderson was working on her book.
âMom would say, I donât know that sheâs ever gonna get her book done,â said granddaughter Elizabeth Spencer.
But at 88, Mrs. Anderson did. Her book,
Whistleblower and Double Agents, was âstraight out of a James Bond movie,â the
Citrus County Chroniclereported in 2017. âItâs chock-full of intrigue, suspense, romance and action. And it all rings true because many of the events actually happened during her days at the NRC.â
