The system was centred 625km to 710km from the ports of Bangladesh on Sunday afternoon, the Meteorological Department said in a special weather bulletin.

Fake DB man held with microbus in Rajshahi

RAJSHAHI, April 17, 2021 (BSS)- Police detained a fake Detective Branch (DB) man from Kasiadanga area on Rajshahi-Chapinawabganj highway in Rajshahi city last night.
Police said the arrested person was identified as Masum Hossain, 30, son of Amir Hossain of Borokuthi area in the city.
Police said the arrested person in connivance with three others who introduced themselves as DB men held a bKash agent with Taka two lakh in cash at gunpoint and handcuffed him from his grocery shop at Gogram Pujatala village under Godagari Upazila.
They have been taking the hostage to an unknown destination with the microbus.
