The midnight curfew for outdoor dining expires Monday night for restaurants throughout New York State.
This is some relief for the struggling restaurant industry which has been hit hard financially during the pandemic. The curfew for indoor dining remains until the end of the month. Meanwhile, Wednesday is a major day in the reopening process for New York State. Most business capacity restrictions are being lifted. That includes restaurants, retail, gyms and offices.

Four of Governor Cuomo s accusers are being subpoenaed in the state attorney general s investigation into sexual misconduct claims.
Charlotte Bennett is one of the four women who will be testifying under oath in the next two weeks, according to the New York Times. The 25-year old former Cuomo aide claims the 63 -year old governor made sexual advances when they were alone in his office. Lindsey Boylan, a former Cuomo adviser, also received a subpoena, as well as Ana Liss, a former administration official, and a Cuomo staffer whose name wasn t made public and who claims the governor groped her. Cuomo has denied the allegations. The state attorney general s inquiry began in March. It s expected to be finished by the end of the summer.

The State of New York hit its lowest COVID positivity rate since last October Sunday.
Governor Cuomo made the announcement, stating that the rate was at one-percent. State health officials announced one-thousand-561 new cases of the virus.

A forest fire that was first reported on Friday in Berkshire County is still going.
According to the Berkshire Eagle, firefighters from Massachusetts and southern Vermont are returning to the Clarksburg State Forest area Monday morning to try to extinguish the fire, which has thus-far consumed about six-hundred acres. Williamstown Fire Chief Craig Pedercini says the fire is not a threat to his hometown, as well as the communities of North Adams and Clarksburg.
