A forest fire that was first reported on Friday in Berkshire County is still going.
According to the Berkshire Eagle, firefighters from Massachusetts and southern Vermont are returning to the Clarksburg State Forest area Monday morning to try to extinguish the fire, which has thus-far consumed about six-hundred acres. Williamstown Fire Chief Craig Pedercini says the fire is not a threat to his hometown, as well as the communities of North Adams and Clarksburg.

The midnight curfew for outdoor dining expires Monday night for restaurants throughout New York State.
This is some relief for the struggling restaurant industry which has been hit hard financially during the pandemic. The curfew for indoor dining remains until the end of the month. Meanwhile, Wednesday is a major day in the reopening process for New York State. Most business capacity restrictions are being lifted. That includes restaurants, retail, gyms and offices.

Authorities in Warren County say a man is in custody for a robbery in Queensbury early Friday morning.
Twenty-two-year-old Anthony Dean is accused of taking money from a victim by force near the Speedway on Aviation Road. Officials say Dean had an accomplice, but it is not known if they are in custody. Dean is charged with third-degree robbery.
