Man catches hand grenade while magnet fishing near Paducah, Kentucky

A man who was magnet fishing this week in Western Kentucky got something to stick on his line, but it didn t have gills  it was a hand grenade. The Paducah Police Department said its Bomb Squad was called out Monday evening to the Clarks River bridge off Sheehan Bridge Road on a report that a man caught a grenade while magnet fishing. The squad used its robot to retrieve the item and place it in an explosive storage container, the Paducah Police Department said in a Facebook post that included a photo of the grenade.  It was properly disposed of without incident.

(KFVS) - A man in Paducah caught a grenade while fishing off the Clarks River Bridge on Monday. Around 4:15 p.m., Deputies responded Clarks River Bridge on Sheehan Bridge Road in response to a report that a grenade had been located there. Upon arrival, Deputies located a man who had been magnet fishing off the bridge when he felt something and pulled up his line. He then discovered a grenade on the magnet.

(KFVS) - Recovery crews have completed efforts to upright an overturned SEMI blocking the eastbound lanes of Interstate 24 near the 11 mile marker in McCracken County. According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, it took crews seven hours to clear the wreckage. The eastbound lanes were reopened at 3:45 a.m. on Tuesday, February 9.

(KFVS) - Interstate 24 was briefly shutdown in McCracken County early Monday morning, December 14 after a SEMI flat bed lost an entire load of lumber. The incident happened around 1:04 a.m. in the westbound lanes at the 12 mile marker. The SEMI was hauling 2x4s and 2x12s. The fallen lumber was scattered along a 50 yard stretch on I-24.
