A dying woman s last wish to touch and see a horse has been granted by officers from the New South Wales mounted police unit.  Rita Meredith, who is not expected to return home from the Calvery Mater hospital in Newcastle, was visited by horses Hollywood and Don on Tuesday. Constable Nicole Hevell and Senior Constable Graham Lovett made the trip up from Redfern in Sydney to ensure the woman s request was fulfilled.  The officers have been praised by the woman s friends, family and social media commentators for their show of compassion.  Rita Meredith was visited by horses Hollywood and Don at the Calvery Mater hospital on Tuesday
