Three teenagers appear in court charged with murder of autistic boy

Oliver Stephens, known as Olly, died at the scene at Bugs Bottom fields, Emmer Green, on Sunday. A 13-year-old girl, a 13-year-old boy and a 14-year-old boy, who cannot be named because of their ages, appeared at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Thursday morning charged with murder and conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm. The girl was also charged with perverting the course of justice. The three, all from Reading, spoke in court only to confirm their names, ages and addresses.

Oliver Lucas Stephens, who was known as Olly, died after being stabbed at Bugs Bottom fields, Emmer Green, on Sunday. A 13-year-old girl, a 13-year-old boy and a 14-year-old boy, who cannot be named, appeared at Reading Crown Court on Thursday afternoon charged with murder and conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm in connection with the death. The girl was also charged with perverting the course of justice. The trio, all from Reading, spoke only to confirm their names and ages, and no application for bail was made.

Oritseweyinmi Pessu, 72, was driving Narendra Dang and his two grandchildren in his Mercedes E-class when he tried to overtake a stationary bus in Caversham, but instead went into the back of it. Mr Dang, who was in the back of the car, suffered fatal head injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Pessu, of Blenheim Gardens, Wembley, was sentenced at Reading Crown Court on Monday after admitting causing death by careless or inconsiderate driving at Reading Magistrates’ Court last month.

Reading man jailed for threatening victims with machete

Both victims were also punched and attacked by members of the group. However, the victims managed to get away and reported the attack to police. Then, the victims saw their attacker Muge in the passenger seat of a separate car, which they then followed whilst on the phone to police. Officers later stopped the car and arrested Muge, along with recovering the machete that had been discarded in Shinfield Road. The male victim sustained cut injuries to his hands, and facial injuries including a broken nose and eye socket. The female victim sustained bruising injuries. As a result, Lasaro Muge was sentenced at Reading Crown Court on Friday, December 4, after he pleaded guilty at the same court on 30 October to grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of an offensive weapon.

Man jailed after violent and terrifying attack that left two people injured A 22-year-old man from Reading has been jailed after pleading guilty to grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of an offensive weapon. On July 18 this year, a man and a woman were turning their car around in Cardinal Close, Reading, when they were approached by a group including 22-year-old Lasargo Muge.  The group shouted at the pair before Muge threatened the man with a machete through the car door. Both victims were also punched by members of the group. The pair fled and reported the incident, before seeing Muge in the passenger seat of a separate vehicle shortly afterwards, which they then followed while on the phone to police.
