The Regal Theatre in Stowmarket is getting £80,340 from the second round of the Culture Recovery Fund, while Film Theatre in Ipswich has been granted £2,823.
Ben Roberts, chief executive of the British Film Institute, said: People have been missing the big screen experience and we know they are looking forward to cinemas being able to reopen from 17 May onwards.

I am a hip hop, soulful, beat-making composer and opera singer, and I began singing opera by accident. Being from the south side of Chicago, classical music wasn t the world that was around me. My dad would have the Lyric Opera on PBS from time to time rarely and, of course, it was often on cartoons like Bugs Bunny, but there was no reason for me to ever be authentically interested in opera. R&B, Soul, Jazz, Gospel and Hip Hop were around me in a visceral way. I mean, I know it, like I know the smell of my mom s pancakes on a Saturday morning. It is in my pores. I didn t have to study it or learn to appreciate it, it is me. It makes up my experience and memories and is inextricable from the history that shaped the world I was brought up in.
A MESSAGE in a bottle found in Hove could have been sent by a 1950s pop-singer, one man has said. Iain Williams wrote to the Argus after reading about the discovery of letter, which had been tucked away inside a bottle for 60 years before washing up on the beach. Indiana Tarrant, 21 and Luca Gamberini, 21, were skimming stones on Hove beach on Tuesday, February 2 when they made the unusual find. At first they thought the bottle was empty, but when they opened it they discovered a letter dated August, 7 1961. Mr Williams said he thinks that the letter, which was sent from the Pleasure Beach in Blackpool, could have been written by English musician Robert Earl.
