IRELAND CAPTAIN JOHNNY Sexton admitted they are still short of being a top team after they gave up a 14-lead against Scotland and needed a late, late penalty to edge victory in Murrayfield.
Sexton held his nerve with the penalty shot from wide on the left after the Scots had overcome Ireland’s 24-10 lead to level the game at 24-24 with five minutes left in Edinburgh.

Scotland to come out on top against Ireland

Scotland will be eager to end a five-game losing streak against Ireland when they meet in the Six Nations at Murrayfield on Sunday.
Not since 2017 have the Scots got one over the men in green but they will fancy their chances of changing that this weekend, especially on their home patch.
Despite their opening weekend win over England, it has been a frustrating Six Nations thus far for Gregor Townsend’s outfit, as they were unable to back up that victory against Wales in Round Two before their meeting with France was postponed. That means their last run-out was a month ago so will they be cold or fresh?

REFRESHED OR RUSTY?
Like all of their rivals, Ireland had their scheduled off-week last weekend but for Scotland, their stretch without a game goes back all the way to their 13 February loss to Wales due to the postponement of their round three clash against France.
But will having that long hiatus stand to the Scots or will it leave them somewhat rustier than Ireland?
