Horsham Rural City Council continues to see younger people’s careers thrive through apprenticeships.
“Apprenticeships are a fantastic way of providing them with the opportunity to learn new skills, whilst offering a potential pathway into their dream field,” said Team Leader of Streetscapes and Botanics, Ryan Johnstone.
Council has recently appointed Millie and Lauren, two new apprentices within the Parks and Gardens Unit.
One position is replacing a successfully completed apprenticeship, whilst the other is through the Victorian Apprenticeship Recovery Package, funded by the State Government.
They will begin working within the Streetscapes and Botanics teams over the coming weeks, and eventually work with all of the Parks and Gardens teams.
