Coldplay performing at Whitby Abbey is one of a host of performances music lovers can enjoy across a bumper Bank Holiday weekend.
Starting on Friday, May 28 and taking place across four days for the first time in the event’s 18-year history, Big Weekend will feature over 100 live performances for fans to enjoy.

The Coldplay lead singer was in good spirits as he chatted with passersby and posed for photographs on the Khyber Pass.
The international hit makers, whose offerings include, Clocks, Fix You and Hymn for the Weekend, were in Whitby to record a special performance for Radio One s Big Weekend.
The evening saw the illuminated abbey light up the skies across Whitby, culminating in a fantastic firework display.

Albie Clarkson. 8, was lucky enough to bump into the megastar who paused for a chat.
Albie s mum, Rebecca Clarkson, who runs The Haven Guesthouse in Whitby, said: Chris was lovely and had a conversation with Albie, asking his age and name.
