A BALACLAVA-CLAD thug stabbed a man in a terrifying gang raid on a family home. Jordan Bell was part of a group of four who vaulted a wall into the garden of a property in Nicolson Drive, Shoreham. He burst into a summer house where he threatened Cerys Evans and Lewis Harrington with a weapon. Then when Ms Evans’ father David rushed outside, he was stabbed in the chest during a struggle. He nearly died in hospital from a collapsed lung. At Hove Crown Court Bell, 20, refused to give up the names of his accomplices and denied using any violence.
Lewes Crown Court. Oliver Cyril Mills was charged by police over incidents in Brighton. He is accused of assault occasioning actual bodily harm on Gemma Carter. The 39-year-old is also accused of criminal damage to ceramics during an alleged incident on March 11 this year. At Lewes Crown Court it was also claimed he made a threat to kill Ms Carter, and that she feared the threat would be carried out. Mills, of Beatty Avenue, Brighton, spoke to confirm his name during the ten-minute hearing and pleaded “not guilty” to the three charges. He was represented by barrister Rebecca Upton during the hearing, while Edward Hand represented the Crown Prosecution Service.
