This is a map as of May 24 of counties that are backing county rights when it comes to the language of SB1602
Over two-thirds of Illinois counties are voting to oppose a proposed state law. Over 70 counties passed resolutions to preserve county zoning rights.
“A majority of these counties, that have adopted these resolutions, already have turbines,” said Livingston County precinct committee member Rebekah Fehr. “Illinois is number five in the U.S. for wind development.”
McLean County has adopted zoning ordinances, which Fehr said is more restrictive than what the governor wants them to do.

FAIRBURY An area business gave back to the community on recently by decorating the downtown Fairbury gazebo.
Compass Insurance Partners employees donate a full day of giving back each year through an initiative called “Compass Cares.”
“We know that time is an important commodity and we feel like giving our time to various projects in the community is a good way to give back to a community that gives us so much,” said Dayton Kilgus of Compass.
This was just one way for the company to make a small difference, according to Kilgus.
