A volunteer coach at Lake Ridge Academy in North Ridgeville has been charged with three counts of sexual battery, after a student there reported being raped.
38-year-old Jason Alan DiMacchia faces three felony counts of sexual battery. He was arraigned Thursday in Elyria Municipal Court and was released on bond.
North Ridgeville Police say they were notified of the incidents on May 3, but that the alleged rapes occurred in December of 2020. A student notified a teacher at the school, who notified school administration, who then called police.
North Ridgeville Police said the man allegedly most recently walked into the lobby of Motel 6 on Lorain Road on April 25 and handed the clerk a note that said he had a gun in his pocket and to give him the cash in the register.

NORTH RIDGEVILLE, Ohio (WOIO) - A man police warn is âarmed and dangerousâ is wanted for robbing three businesses in Elyria and North Ridgeville, and detectives need your help bringing him to justice.
Police said the latest robbery happened on April 25.
According to North Ridgeville Police, the man walked into the lobby of Motel 6 on Lorain Road at approximately 1:05 a.m. and handed the clerk a note that said he had a gun in his pocket and to give him the cash in the register.

UPDATE: North Ridgeville Police said the clinic ended around 11 a.m. on Saturday, just one and a half hours after opening.
The clinic distributed their full vaccine supply, police said in a Facebook post.
Traffic patterns are back to normal.
