The Huskers finish the conference-only slate 7-1, going undefeated in the last six duals of the regular season.
The Huskers earned bonus points in three matches, picking up major decisions at 174 and 184 pounds and a technical fall in the 149-pound bout.
Mikey Labriola and Eric Schultz finish the regular season undefeated in eight matches on the year while Liam Cronin and Chad Red Jr. went 6-1 on the year with their only losses coming against Iowa in the second dual of the season.

With a bye week this weekend, I’ll take some time to dive into some news, observations and outlook going forward.
The Nebraska wrestling team went 2-0 over the weekend but still dropped a spot in the National Wrestling Coaches Association Coaches Poll to No. 8. The Huskers were leapfrogged by Virginia Tech, which went from No. 8 to No. 4 after defeating then-No. 2 NC State.

The Huskers officially have a No. 1-ranked wrestler in his weight class in senior Eric Schultz at 197 pounds. The Husker is 7-0 on the season and has three wins over guys currently in the Top 10 at the weight.

The No. 7 Nebraska wrestling team bounced back from its loss to No. 1 Iowa with two dual wins over the weekend to improve to 3-1 on the season. The Huskers downed No. 25 Northwestern 26-10 before blanking Maryland 38-0 Saturday at the Devaney Sports Center.

Nebraska did an amazing job in bringing in No. 8 Liam Cronin (3-1) as a graduate transfer from Indiana this season. He’s proven to be an upgrade and has been one of the best in the Big Ten this season at 125.
Cronin started things off with a 15-5 major decision victory over Northwestern’s Matt Vinci that saw the Husker notch six takedowns. He then finished his day with a first-period pinfall over Maryland’s Noah Spence.
