SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - The Caddo-Bossier LSU Alumni & Fans Chapter is set to host its annual crawfish boil and scholarship fundraiser Saturday, May 22.
The event will be held at East Ridge Country Club starting at 5 p.m. The event will feature crawfish, free beer, cash bar, and the chance to meet some LSU sports stars.

DYER â Residents in Briar Ridge are calling on the town to preserve their investment.Â
During a Dyer Town Council meeting on Thursday, more than a dozen residents from the gated residential community opposed nullifying a town ordinance from 2016 and its late addition to the meeting agenda.
As written, Ordinance No. 2016-21Â states any proposed future changes within Briar Ridge would be considered a major change, resulting in developers needing to submit a new preliminary planned unit development (PUD) plan and supporting data for the Dyer Plan Commission s reconsideration.
As presented, Ordinance No. 2021-06 would amend the 2016 ordinance by taking out a provision that defines major changes separate from Dyer Town Code, and instead use the definitions for minor and major changes as set forth in town code, section 10-131m.Â

BRIDGEWATER, NJ - The mission of Alternatives Inc. is to provide comprehensive services to individuals and families with special needs to enable them to reach their highest level of independence and integration into the community.
The organization serves approximately 500 individuals, providing residential services, housing, supported employment, transition services for high school students and case management.
Alternatives also provides supported employment services to individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing, and a variety of other services for families who have been impacted by homelessness, mental illness or substance abuse. Their services span nine counties – including Somerset, Middlesex, Hunterdon, Warren, Ocean, Monmouth, Morris, Union and Mercer – empowering those they serve to live as independently as possible in community-based settings.
