Troopers: Motorcyclist charged after rear-ending pickup on I-95

RICHMOND, Va. The driver of a motorcycle was charged after rear-ending a pickup truck along Interstate 95 in Richmond Thursday afternoon, according to Virginia State Police.
Troopers were called to the wreck on I-95 near the Boulevard exit just after 4 p.m. The preliminary investigation reveals that a southbound Chevrolet Silverado was slowing for traffic when it was struck from behind by a Harley Davidson motorcycle, Sgt. Dylan Davenport with Virginia State Police said.
Officials said the 57-year-old driver of the pickup was wearing his seat belt and was not injured.

RICHMOND, Ind. Police said a dispute over a driveway led to the shooting death of a man in Richmond Thursday night.
Officers responded to the 1400 block of New Paris Pike shortly before 7 p.m. to investigate a possible shooting.
Officers located two people shot.
Police said 46-year-old John Dee Day died at the scene.
Brenda Day, 72, was transported to Reid Hospital with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
Police said an ongoing dispute over a driveway led to a fight and then the shooting.
Police arrested 41-year-old Elick Tywayne Allen on a preliminary arrest charge of murder and attempted murder.

RICHMOND, Va. A vigil Sunday celebrated the life of a 15-year-old boy killed in South Richmond whose mother remembered him as a responsible, well-mannered hero who was in to school and sports.
Police were called to the 2300 block of Afton Avenue in Bellemeade for a report of a person shot just after 4:45 p.m. Thursday. Officers arrived and found a juvenile male who was suffering an apparent gunshot wound, James Mercante with Richmond Police said. He was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injury.
