The Richmond Police Activities League (RPAL) will be spreading seasonal cheer this week when they team up with partners to host the “Richmond Xmas Toy Giveaway” and gift 1,000 toys to local youth.
Set for Thursday, Dec. 24 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at RPAL, 2200 Macdonald Ave. in Richmond, the event will feature a drive-thru toy distribution for all ages where toys will be displayed and delivered to each car via volunteers. Toys will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis, (sign-ups not necessary) and residents are asked to wear masks and stay inside their cars at all times.

Demonstrating an “if you can’t come to the party, then the party will come to you” spirit, Richmond’s finest are welcoming local community members to join them for the “RPD Holiday Virtual Event” on Zoom Wed., Dec. 16.
Set for 4 p.m. that afternoon, the RPD touts its virtual party as not only an opportunity to connect with fellow community members while enjoying seasonal music, but also a chance to get the 411 on holiday safety information.
