FREEMASONS in the county have ensured a Tynedale charity can continue its vital work offering bereavement services to children. Northumberland Freemasons donated £10,000 to Tynedale Hospice at Home, an independent charity which provides end of life nursing care, a hospital transport service and pre- and post-bereavement support to children, adults, and families across the district. “We are absolutely delighted with the grant from Northumberland Freemasons to support our pre-and post-bereavement service for children and young people,” said Mike Thornicroft, CEO of Tynedale Hospice at Home. “Coronavirus has exacerbated all the triggers for children and young people to develop complicated grief and this grant ensures we can continue supporting families in the toughest of times.”
