Show Transcript As the Douglas County health department gears up for the next phase of the vaccine distribution, it has to make sure those vaccinated are accounted for. Health leaders say some people are already losing their vaccine cards, but they say they have a backup system, the latest assignment for the Nebraska National Guard. That s different, but it s still supporting the community and everything. So you know, we like to help out wherever he can. That s why we signed up. About a dozen soldiers are helping the Douglas County Health Department keep track of immunizations. They re entering data about who
Imagine purchasing a slick new Corvette. Imagine driving it around town and hitting up your usual spots, feeling the Maine summer breeze and fresh air.
Now imagine after only about five years of owning the car, you no longer want to drive it and would rather just seal it away inside a brick vault. And that brick vault will remain closed for nearly three decades.
Wait. What? Why would you do that?
Well, that s just part of the story that surrounds a Corvette and its owner Richard Sampson of Brunswick, Maine.
Only 3,640 Corvettes were produced in 1954, according to corvsport.com, and Sampson got his very own white one, complete with a red interior, that same year.
