On Monday around 5:30 p.m., Sergeant James Bodisch and Trooper Ryan Stutz of the New York State Police responded to Reservoir Road in the town of Goshen for a report of a snowmobile accident with injuries.
Upon arrival, they observed an individual in the woods. He was later identified as 55-year-old Richard Stetson rom Goshen. Troopers immediately assessed the situation and with the assistance of EMS personnel, provided first aid and placed Stetson on a backboard and transported him to a waiting ambulance.

GOSHEN – A 56-year-old Goshen man was killed Monday evening when the snowmobile he was on crashed into the Goshen Reservoir. Another man with him was taken to Garnet Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill for treatment.
Goshen Village Police Chief James Watt identified the victim as Arne Jensen, 56, of Orange Avenue. He was rescued from the reservoir by the Goshen Fire Department Cold Water Rescue Team and was transported to Garnet where he was pronounced dead.
The other man, Richard Stetson, 55, of Reservoir Road in Goshen, was transported to the hospital where he was listed in stable condition, according to the chief.
