Day two runs smoother for mega vaccination event in Robstown

ROBSTOWN, Texas â Around 2,000 vaccines were distributed to people at the Richard Borchard Fairgrounds in Robstown on Tuesday, finishing up the 4,000 total vaccines received on Monday.
While Mondayâs distribution came with its hiccups, Tuesday seemed to go much smoother for vaccine recipients.
âToday went real good. I got through here a lot faster than I thought I would,â said Tom Danczek, a Taft resident.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas â A third day of Nueces County COVID-19 vaccinations will not happen as originally planned.
Health officials say all 4,000 doses they received have been distributed.
Lines began forming early yesterday morning, hours before the event at the Richard Borchard Fairgrounds opened.
But their wait definitely paid off.
Officials told us around 2,000 vaccines were distributed to people at the vaccination hub finishing up the 4,000 total vaccines received on Monday.
With thousands of people now half-vaccinated against COVID-19, some say they have questions about the second dose.
If nothing changes, Public Health Director Annette Rodriguez says the federal government assures her those second doses will be here when the necessary waiting period between the two shots is over.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas â A lot of folks were practicing patience as they waited to get the COVID-19 vaccine.
Vaccinations were supposed to be administered around 12 p.m. Monday but were not administered until around 3 p.m.
Administrators of the vaccine are only checking that someone has registered and not whether they are of priority status to get the vaccine, but city officials said they are using the honor system.
