Work on the £10.9 million facility, promised to be ‘state of the art’ by NHS officials, will begin this month. But, this week, it was confirmed that permission had been granted for building work to begin on land close to Marshall Road later this month. Construction work is expected to last about a year, with the doors to the new facility scheduled to open to patients next summer. “The new Devizes Health Centre will be a facility the whole community can be proud of and benefit from,” said Dr Andrew Girdher, clinical chair at the Wiltshire Clinical Commissioning Group.
