The Liveable Cities Labs, presented by the Liveable Cities Philippines and the League of Cities of the Philippines, in partnership with Globe Telecom, will kickstart its 2021 series with a timely discussion on how local government units can prepare their own vaccination program once the anti-COVID-19 vaccines become accessible and available in the country.
Due to the COVID pandemic, the global lockdown has greatly affected our cities for almost a year now. The coming of anti-COVID vaccines, while it provides so much hope, also poses a big challenge for local government units to face. Among those appointed were Fe Mejia-Moran, Grace Antigua, Michael Verano, Rosemarie Prochina, Tina Salak and Odjie Mamon.
Mejia-Moran is part of the PH team that won three straight gold medals at the 1977, 1979 and 1981 Southeast Asian Games, while Antigua is also part of the gold-medal squad in the 1981 and 1985 SEAG.
Verano was part of the men’s team in the 1980s, while Mamon was also a former PH team member and coach of the University of Santo Tomas squad.
Prochina is a gold medalist at the 1993 SEAG, while Salak is a member of the 1995 SEAG silver medal squad.
Also part of the team are Oliver Mora, Rollie Delfino and Charo Soriano.

Gomez expressed his hopes as five of six Filipino fencers continue to prepare in a bubble training camp in Ormoc City – where he is the mayor – for the April 16-17 Olympic Qualifying Tournament (OQT).
“Of course, our hope is for the qualifying meet to happen. Because if not, I don’t know what the IF (international federation) would do to determine the spots for the Asian continent,” said Gomez in a telephone interview Wednesday with
