THE mayor of Fordingbridge has praised the role played by the town in the rollout of the Covid-19 vaccine. Speaking at a meeting of Fordingbridge Town Council last week, mayor Edward Hale celebrated the staff and volunteers supporting the vaccination programme at the Fordingbridge Hospital site, which last month celebrated the 20,000 vaccination milestone. He said: “My congratulations to the staff and volunteers at the Avon Valley Primary Care Network for passing 20,000 vaccinations at the hospital site. “We can be proud of the role our town has had in the vaccination rollout.” The network of GP surgeries is made up of The Fordingbridge Surgery, Ringwood Medical Centre, Cornerways Medical Centre in Ringwood and Twin Oaks Surgery in Bransgore. The vaccination programme started at the Fordingbridge site during the week of December 21.
