Pa. man’s claim DNA testing will clear him of 1986 murder headed to Superior Court

SUNBURY – A Northumberland County man is pursuing his attempt to clear himself of a 1986 murder for which he claims he was wrongly convicted.
Scott R. Schaeffer on Wednesday appealed the decision of specially assigned Lycoming County Senior Judge Dudley N. Anderson denying his request for DNA testing of certain evidence related to the murder of Rickey Wolfe.
Only a notice of appeal was filed with the state Superior Court. It does not contain why Schaeffer believes the decision should be overturned.

SUNBURY – A Northumberland County man has lost an attempt to clear himself of a 1986 murder for which he claims he was wrongly convicted.
Specially assigned Lycoming County Senior Judge Dudley N. Anderson ruled Monday that Scott R. Schaeffer failed to make a prima facie showing that the DNA testing he requested would establish actual innocence.
