Lincoln College and Heartland Community College Announce New Articulation Agreement

Normal, IL, USA / www.cities929.com Jun 16, 2021 | 2:42 PM Heartland Community College (HCC) and Lincoln College have signed a new articulation agreement, announcing a partnership that grants HCC students and alumni the ability to complete their bachelor’s degree through the Lincoln College Accelerated Bridge to Education (ABE) Program. The agreement also articulates a pathway for employees of State Farm ® to transfer prior learning assessment (PLA) credits awarded by Heartland for their training programs into the baccalaureate degree program at Lincoln College. Heartland Community College (HCC) has formalized Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) credit for State Farm Custom Care Center (CCC) employees. The credit recognizes learning that is completed outside of the classroom and can allow a student to enroll in more advanced courses without some prerequisites. Westport s Camp Noquochoke to celebrate 100th anniversary

The Herald News WESTPORT Camp Noquochoke, the Boy Scout camp in Westport, may have been closed for more than 40 years, but the indelible impression that special place had on generations of Greater Fall River boys has not faded. June 26 marks the 100th anniversary of the opening of the camp, and a special event on Sept. 25 will be held to mark the occasion. All Scouts, past and present, are invited to celebrate the centennial. A walk through the forested property that was the site of the former Boy Scout camp is planned, as is a social gathering nearby. FAIRFIELD-SUISUN, CALIFORNIA A ‘hidden gem’ Butler County company gets $61.4 million defense contract to make missile parts [Journal-News, Hamilton, Ohio] Jan. 26 A Butler County aerospace company will continue supplying components thanks to a new contract to sustain its work to supply components for weapons systems. Raytheon Missiles & Defense recently awarded a $61.4 million contract to Magellan Aerospace Corporation for the supply of complex missile fin components that will be manufactured at Magellan’s facility in Middletown. These heat-tolerant surface control assemblies will be manufactured at Magellan’s facility adjacent to the Middletown Regional Airport with deliveries through 2024. According to Magellan officials, the company has participated in the Standard Missile program for more than 20 years, supplying dorsal fins. These missiles provide area defense to the U.S. Military against enemy missiles.
