Roman coins and erotic Georgian button are among artefacts uncovered by mudlarkers on River Thames

Advertisement A cheeky Georgian button depicting two people having sex is one of the many fascinating treasures which have emerged from the mud of the Thames. The piece, which is believed to date back to the 18th-Century, was found by a mudlarker . The term is given to the people who comb the 100-mile foreshore of the Thames and pick up objects and artefacts revealed in the mud by the twice daily changing tides.   Anna Borzello, 54, found the erotic miniature button, which is small enough it sits on a fingertip, earlier this year as she was walking along the river.  I like the idea of someone having this really raunchy pin tucked underneath their collar that they would maybe flap up, she said.

CREFC Annual Conference: The Virtual Edition | Dechert LLP

To embed, copy and paste the code into your website or blog: Last week, over 4,200 of our closest friends met virtually for the annual January conference by the Commercial Real Estate Finance Council, which is usually held in Miami. While we have all learned to go without in the last year, going without seeing the “smart resort wear” of our colleagues was almost too much to bear. Thankfully, CREFC put together an informative and interactive conference – complete with a virtual lobby that played in between sessions featuring a guy on his cell phone walking in circles. Talk about realistic! Best of all, CREFC honored the real reason we attend conferences and provided a “virtual swag bag.” All in all, CREFC did the best they could under the circumstances and we agree that’s all we ask of anyone or thing at this point.

Get Resource Officer Contract Completed | News, Sports, Jobs

Jan 23, 2021 Prevention resource officers provide a needed service within our schools. Outside of their obvious role of securing a school and keeping students and staff safe, officers also serve as role models for many young students. That’s why a dispute between the Ohio County Sheriff’s Department and the Ohio County Board of Education over a new contract doesn’t make sense. The sheriff’s department and the board of education have partnered for years to provide resource officers in the schools. Both sides have been working without a contract since July 2020, though. That came to a head Tuesday, when Sheriff Thomas Howard did not have his PROs report to their buildings.
