MoU signed for cooperation in health care with Cuba

2021-04-06 15:14:13 Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On April 6, Minister of Health S.Enkhbold and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba Raul Delgado Concepcion signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Health of Mongolia and the Ministry of Public Health of Cuba.    Under the MoU, the sides will cooperate in efforts to support health, communicable and non-communicable disease control and prevention, medical, pharmaceutical and biotechnological research, and primary health care.   During the signing ceremony, Minister S.Enkhbold said the development and achievements of health care and medical sciences in Cuba are well known to the people of Mongolia and that health professionals who studied in dentistry in Cuba have been leading in their field. The Minister also outlined the actions the government of Mongolia is taking against the COVID-19 pandemic.

Delgado Concepcion thanked the Parliament and the Mongolian Government for their support for the battle that Cuba is waging against the United States blockade, and ratified the invitation to its leaders to visit Cuba as soon as the international situation due to the Covid-19 pandemic improves.

PM meets Cuban Ambassador

2021-02-26 16:22:39 Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Prime Minister L.Oyun-Erdene had a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to Mongolia Raul Delgado Concepcion.   At the meeting, the Cuban Ambassador relayed a congratulatory message from Prime Minister of Cuba Manuel Marrero Cruz to the recently appointed Prime Minister L.Oyun-Erdene. He briefly updated the Prime Minister on the COVID-19 situation in Cuba and said the country plans to fully vaccinate its population with 100 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine to be manufactured by the end of the year and supply the remainder to foreign countries.   While expressing pleasure with the development of relations and cooperation between the two countries, Prime Minister L.Oyun-Erdene returned greetings to his Cuban counterpart and underscored the great importance of reciprocal high-level visits in bilateral relations.
