THE following cases were heard at Southampton Magistrates Court. GLYN CULL, 55, of The Tyleshades, Romsey. Pleaded guilty to drink driving. Disqualified from driving for 20 months and fined £500. Also ordered to pay victim surcharge of £50 and court costs of £85. DAVID DONALD SHEEN, 33, of Raleigh Close, New Milton. Pleaded guilty to causing harassment and distress by using threatening and abusive language. Discharged conditionally for 12 months and ordered to pay £200 compensation. Also ordered to pay £40 court costs. MICHAEL ANTHONY BROOKS, 37, of Priory Place, Gloucester. Pleaded guilty to damaging a glass door worth £850 in Southampton. Discharged conditionally for six months and ordered to pay £840 compensation.

New Milton man stole £100 from mum

By Tom Orde Crime and court reporter Southampton Magistrates Court A MAN stole £100 from his own mother, a court heard. Jason Eric Pollitt withdrew £100 from a cashpoint at a Tesco Express store in Lymington using his mother s debit card. She had woken up from an afternoon nap on October 15 to find the back door leading to her garden in Wilverley Close, Pennington wide open . When checking her online bank account the next day she noticed two transactions she didn t make. CCTV footage was looked at and clearly showed Pollitt withdrawing the cash. The 39-year-old of Raleigh Close, New Milton in appeared at Southampton Magistrates Court on Wednesday where he pleaded guilty to two counts of fraud by false representation.

Group of youths cause anti-social behaviour in Newton-le-Willows

Police have issued an appeal A GROUP of youths set off fireworks and hurled missiles at attending police officers. Officers are appealing for information after reports of a large group of yobs caused nuisance and anti-social behaviour in Newton-le-Willows yesterday, Thursday evening. Police received numerous calls about a group who had gathered on foot and on scrambler bikes on Raleigh Close, close to Vulcan Sports Club. It was reported the yobs were setting off fireworks and causing anti-social behaviour. When patrols arrived missiles were thrown at officers before the group broke up at around 6pm. CCTV enquiries are being carried out in the local area and investigation is under way.
