A teenager was taken to hospital after a head on collision in Horwich last night. Emergency services rushed to the scene of a crash between two cars around 5:30pm last night with left debris up to 100 metres away. The North West Ambulance Service has confirmed that one teenager was taken to hospital after the crash, suffering minor injuries. Eyewitness, Rai Hirst, told The Bolton News: It was amazing to see neighbours assisting with the traffic to keep those helping safe. People rushed from their houses after hearing a loud bang - it is just how people are in Horwich. They will always help.

Bolton News that the fire service, police and ambulance teams all attended the incident which happened at around 6pm in Vale Avenue. Rai Hirst said: It was amazing to see neighbours assisting with the traffic to keep those helping safe. People rushed from their houses after hearing a loud bang - it is just how people are in Horwich. They will always help. The lights from the emergency services can be seen as far away as Blackrod, with several vehicles believed to have attended the scene. Mr Hirst added: Whilst I am certainly not saying speed was a factor, the amount of near misses is incredible with folk using the road as a racetrack.
