Really?
Proves the old adage true: you may circulate amongst a lot of well-educated people, only to find that very few of them are intelligent.
How to keep taxes down is not a difficult exercise. Start with a mindset to keep expenditures down, only do what is necessary, and keep to it.
Secondly, stop talking about ‘investments’ and call them what they really are tax expenditures. Be honest with ratepayers.
Lastly, hire senior civil servants who have the best interest of the taxpayers in mind. Council should stop listening to empire builders.
