India Inc s top honchos are likely to get a 6 per cent salary hike in 2021, with the pandemic affecting executive salaries less significantly than the global financial crisis of 2008-09, according to a study by global professional services firm Aon. At 6 per cent, the 2021 projected salary increase for senior executives is down by 1.4 per cent from 2020. The COVID-19 pandemic had less of an impact than the 2008-2009 Global Financial Crisis, when projected salary increases for senior executives dropped by almost 5 per cent, said Nitin Sethi, partner and CEO of Aon s performance and rewards business in India.
