HealthSource RI cobbles together last-resort $1 million cost-cutting plan
PROVIDENCE The $13.2-million a year, state-run Obamacare program known in Rhode Island as HSRI has quietly cobbled together a $1-million package of cuts to its operations.
The move came to light in one of the transition memos that departing Gov. Gina Raimondo s office provided in recent days to Lt. Gov. Dan McKee, who will replace her when she wins confirmation to her anticipated new job as the nation s commerce secretary.
While the heads of some state agencies used the transition memos as a platform to plead for more state money in the 2021-22 budget McKee is slated to unveil next month, HealthSource RI took a different approach.

RI Feeds Our Heroes 2.0 Helps Feed Frontline Workers through Restaurant Gift Cards
Funds raised through the GoFundMe campaign will be used to purchase gift cards from local restaurants and donated to nurses and hospital staff in the state.

We’ve reached the end of 2020, where frontline workers continue to keep people safe, especially as COVID-19 cases surge. With the help of the RI Feeds Our Heroes 2.0 GoFundMe page and people who donate to it, hospital staff from RI Hospital, Hasbro Children’s Hospital, Miriam Hospital and Women and Infants Hospital can enjoy meals from various restaurants.
During April of this year, the owner of
