Date Time P1 driver caught at more than twice speed limit – Greenacre A teenager has been fined more than $2000 and is without a driver’s licence for six months after he was caught allegedly speeding in Sydney’s south-west. Just after 8pm yesterday (Sunday May 9), officers attached to Auburn Traffic and Highway Patrol stopped a black Audi Q7 traveling north on Roberts Road, Greenacre, after its speed was checked at 143km/h – more than double the 70km/h signposted limit. The 19-year-old man, who is a P1 provisional licence holder, was spoken to by officers then issued an infringement for the offence of exceed speed limit over 45km/h.

Date Time Police charge man after two armed robberies at service stations – Greenacre A man has been charged after he allegedly robbed and attempted to rob two service stations in half an hour at Greenacre earlier today. Police will allege in court that the 26-year-old man entered a service station on Roberts Road about 5.25am (Monday 26 April 2021), where he has attempted to jump the counter but was restricted by the security wires. When he tried to enter through the console door, he became involved in a scuffle with the attendant before fleeing the service station empty handed. It will be alleged that the man attended another service station on Waterloo Road about 5.50am, where he ran around the counter, produced a knife and demanded money.
