The Knoxville Bowling Squads were young this season. Just two seniors between the boys and girls but that did not stop the Panthers from contending in most of their meets this season. Coach Shaun Renard tells KNIA/KRLS Sports knew the scores may be lower this year, but their hard work and improvement was the most impressive thing he noticed about his team.
Renard:
“The talent we lost last year and the kids we had returning this year, we knew the scores wasn’t going be as high, but I’m proud of what the kids accomplished and what they did to end the year.”

Our Social Security and Medicare programs are in danger. We can only blame our government, which has fallen short on taking care of it. No former administrations have addressed the problem. If we can get a man to the moon and back, we should be able to fix Social Security.
The year 2034, when itâs predicted the Old-Age and Survivors Insurance Trust Fund will only have enough tax income to pay out 76% of scheduled payments, is not that far away.
Social Security should never go broke; it should be there for generations to come. It is a must that this gets done â like now. For most seniors, your monthly check is a lifeline for survival. One check wonât cover it all but why lose what you have paid into during your working years? It doesnât matter what party you belong to. For once we donât have to oppose one another. Your monthly check is on the line. Anyone care to help?

Gold Cup winners Robert Sloan (kneeling) and his father Bryce have seen big differences since they installed robots Sourcing good, reliable farm labour is becoming a growing issue in all sectors of the industry, so it comes as no surprise that an increasing number milking robots are taking up the slack. Furthermore, not only are the easing staffing problems, robotic milking stems are helping to improve levels of efficiency and animal welfare on all units. Speaking at this year s Dairy-Tech online event, NMR/RABDF Gold Cup Winner Robert Sloan, from Ayrshire, said this past year had been the most important for having milking robots.
Can you believe it? Joy, the elder of our two beloved American black bears, is celebrating her 20th birthday today!
Joy officially Judge Joy Reynolds was born on Jan. 27, 2001; her sister, Judge Sue Sloan (“Lady”), was born a year and four days later (Jan. 31, 2002), and so turns 19 later this week. The bears came to the Baylor campus two decades ago from a private Oregon ranch when they were each about four months old. At that age, taking care of the bears was much like taking care of any baby minus the milk guzzling and 30-pound weight. Their Chamber-member trainers learned what life was like as single parents for the few months the bears needed constant attention. Mornings began at 8 a.m. with the first formula feeding of the day, five hours of exploring and walking around campus, then another feeding.
