BLAKELY JOINS ADVISORY BOARD
The Sanibel Captiva Trust Company recently announced the appointment of Robert Blakely, of Sanibel, to the company’s advisory board.
He comes to role with a range of consultative skills, having served as a senior level executive in large to medium-sized companies across a variety of industries, primarily in the financial and medical services. Most recently, Blakely served as chairman and chief executive officer of Graham Magnetics in Texas. He was also managing director of Stonegate Securities. He continues to hold his Series 7 and 63 registrations with FINRA/SEC. Earlier in his career, Blakely served as executive vice president at Epic Healthcare in Texas.
Dean s Office adds alumni specialist Christy Peters Dean s Office adds alumni specialist Christy Peters
In December, the School of Engineering hired Christy Peters to join the Dean s Office as an Alumni Affairs Specialist. Peters will work closely with Development Director Robert Blakely as well as departmental personnel to develop and maintain close ties with the engineering alumni family.
Peters is coming to the School of Engineering from UAB’s School of Dentistry, where she served for almost three years as a Development Coordinator. She has her bachelor’s degree in Communication and Information Science from The University of Alabama and is currently working on her Master of Public Administration at UAB. Peters recently acquired her Non-profit Management certificate from UAB as well.
